Site Safety: Scan for Underground and Subsurface Objects

Ground-penetrating radar uses radio waves to non-destructively scan below the hard concrete surface. GPR georadar safely detects objects within concrete such as pipes, rebar, conduits, wire mesh, and post-tension cables. It does this by sending radio waves into the ground and analyzes the radio wave reflections. Ground Penetrating Radar can scan through many surfaces including concrete and asphalt. While this technology is very safe and reliable, ground radar cannot penetrate through metal.

Safety First with GPR

Using GPR in construction projects is a proactive way to enhance safety on-site. By accurately locating subsurface features, GPR helps maintain the integrity of concrete structures during cutting, coring, or drilling. This ensures that machinery remains undamaged, and operators are protected from potential hazards.

Once features are detected, they are clearly marked, guiding construction workers to avoid these areas. This simple yet effective step helps prevent accidents, ensuring a smoother, safer workflow and minimizing project delays.
