The figure to the right shows the detection of a storm water line and a sanitary sewer line. Both utilities were detected with a mid-frequency GPR system. Both pipes are located with in similar soil conditions. The figure shows (from left to right) the detection of a storm water line at a depth of 2 feet and the detection a sanitary sewer line at a depth of 4.3 feet.
